1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Tecmocsy Company Limited ("Tecmocsy"). Access to or use of tecmocsy.com constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility, Registration and Third-Party Login
You must be 18 years of age or older, or hold equivalent legal capacity in your jurisdiction. Registration requires accurate personal information including your first name and last name, email address, phone number, and country of residence. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
When placing an order, we collect your delivery address. For buyers in Tanzania, this includes the full administrative hierarchy: Region (Mkoa), District (Wilaya), Ward (Kata), Village or Street (Kijiji/Mtaa), and house or building number. For individual buyers we collect first name and last name. For company buyers we also collect company name, and optionally TIN (Tax Identification Number) and VAT registration number. For government entities we collect the organisation name and optionally TIN. For buyers in countries or regions where we do not have a physical presence, we collect standard free-text address fields: street address, city or town, postal code, and country.
Google Sign-In and Social Login: Tecmocsy offers the option to create an account or log in using your Google account. When you use this option, Google shares only the following data with us: your display name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive access to your contacts, calendar, location, Google Drive, or any other Google data. This information is used solely for account creation and authentication and is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. You may disconnect your Google login at any time from your account settings. Our use of data received via Google Sign-In complies with Google's API Services User Data Policy.
3. How Tecmocsy Works
Tecmocsy Company Limited is the seller of every product listed on this platform. All contracts of sale are between the buyer and Tecmocsy Company Limited. Tecmocsy sources goods from manufacturers and certified suppliers, verifies the goods, and sells them directly to buyers. All refunds, returns, warranty facilitation, delivery accountability, and dispute resolution are handled exclusively by Tecmocsy Company Limited.
Tecmocsy Company Limited is a limited liability company incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania. "Tecmocsy" is a registered service mark of Tecmocsy Company Limited.
4. Product Accuracy and Pricing
Tecmocsy makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate product information. The following should be noted:
- Images: Product images are for illustrative purposes only. Minor variations in colour or appearance may occur due to display settings, lighting, or batch production differences.
- Specifications: Dimensions, weights, and technical specifications are as confirmed in your order confirmation. For bulk B2B orders, full specification sheets are provided upon request before order placement.
- Pricing errors: If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a system or human error, Tecmocsy reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund. You will be notified before any cancellation is processed and given the option to proceed at the correct price.
- Price changes: Prices may change at any time without notice. Price changes do not affect orders that have already been confirmed and paid.
- Taxes and fees: Tanzanian applicable taxes, delivery fees, and any applicable charges are displayed at checkout and are not included in the listed price unless explicitly stated.
5. Supplier Relationships
Tecmocsy sources products from manufacturers and certified suppliers as part of its internal supply chain operations. These supplier relationships are internal to Tecmocsy and do not create any rights or obligations for buyers. All buyer transactions are solely with Tecmocsy Company Limited.
6. Buyer Obligations
Buyers must:
- Provide accurate and complete information at checkout, including delivery address
- Use official Tecmocsy payment methods for all purchases
- Not initiate fraudulent payment disputes without legitimate basis
- Contact Tecmocsy directly to resolve any order issues before escalating to their bank or card issuer
- Ensure the delivery address provided is accurate and accessible — Tecmocsy is not liable for failed or misdirected deliveries caused by incorrect address information provided by the buyer
7. Payments and International Orders
All payments are made directly to Tecmocsy Company Limited. Accepted payment methods include mobile money (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, Halopesa), credit and debit cards, Pesapal, and direct bank wire transfer. Bank transfer details are provided at checkout when selected. All transactions are SSL-encrypted and PCI DSS compliant.
Title and Risk of Loss: Title to products and risk of loss pass to the buyer upon confirmed delivery to the buyer's designated delivery address. For orders that are lost, damaged in transit, or significantly delayed, contact [email protected] within 7 days of the estimated delivery date.
International Orders: For orders shipped outside Tanzania:
- Customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees are the buyer's sole responsibility and are not included in the product price or shipping fee quoted by Tecmocsy
- Tecmocsy does not pre-pay import duties or act as an importer of record on behalf of buyers
- International delivery timelines may be affected by customs clearance delays beyond Tecmocsy's control
- Certain products may be subject to export restrictions or may be prohibited for importation into certain countries; Tecmocsy will notify buyers if an order cannot be fulfilled due to trade restrictions, and a full refund will be issued
8. Prohibited Conduct
Users of this platform must not:
- Provide false account information or misrepresent their identity
- Purchase restricted, controlled, or unlawful goods in their country of import or residence
- Use the platform to launder money, commit fraud, or circumvent financial regulations
- Initiate fraudulent payment disputes without legitimate basis
- Scrape, copy, or reproduce platform content without prior written permission
- Interfere with platform operations, security, or other users' accounts
- Use a single account to purchase on behalf of multiple undisclosed parties without Tecmocsy's written approval
- Use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable Tanzanian law or the law of the buyer's jurisdiction
9. Account Suspension and Termination
Tecmocsy reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account, with or without notice, where:
- These Terms have been violated
- Fraudulent payment disputes have been initiated
- Prohibited conduct has occurred
- False or misleading information was provided during registration or at checkout
- The account is being used for unlawful activities
Suspended or terminated accounts may lose access to order history and platform features. Tecmocsy will make reasonable efforts to preserve your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may close your own account at any time by contacting [email protected].
10. Orders, Cancellations and Refunds
An order is confirmed when payment is completed. A confirmation is sent to your registered email address.
- Cancellation before dispatch: A full refund is issued within 5 business days. Email [email protected] with your order number as soon as possible.
- Cancellation after dispatch: Orders that have already been dispatched follow the return process instead (see Section 11).
- Digital products: No refund is available after a digital product has been downloaded, unlocked, or accessed, except where a technical defect is reported within 7 days of purchase.
- Defective or wrong item: A full refund or replacement is issued for items that do not match their listed description or arrive damaged. Reports must be submitted within 7 days of confirmed delivery with supporting photographs demonstrating the defect or mismatch.
11. Returns
Physical goods are eligible for return within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery, provided the following conditions are met:
- The item is returned in its original, intact packaging
- The item is unused (other than reasonable inspection)
- Proof of purchase (order number or email receipt) is included
How to initiate a return: Email [email protected] with: (1) your order number, (2) a clear description of the issue, and (3) photographs of the item and its packaging. Our team will respond within 3 business days with return instructions and a return authorisation number.
- Defective or wrong items: All return shipping costs are covered by Tecmocsy.
- Change-of-mind returns: The buyer bears the return shipping cost. Items must be in original, resalable condition.
Digital products, custom-made or made-to-order items, and perishables are not eligible for return, except where a defect materially affects access or performance.
12. Manufacturer Warranties
Important: Tecmocsy has no responsibility for manufacturer warranties. Any warranty on a product is between you and the manufacturer directly. Tecmocsy is the seller — we sell the goods but we do not make them.
Some products come with a warranty from their manufacturer, as noted on the product listing. Here is what that means in practice:
- Within 7 days of receiving your order — contact [email protected]. We will deal with the problem directly under our returns policy (Section 11).
- After 7 days — the warranty is between you and the manufacturer, not Tecmocsy. We can help you find the manufacturer's contact, but we cannot be held responsible for resolving the claim or for any outcome on their end.
- A manufacturer's warranty is void if the product was misused, modified, or damaged by the buyer.
Products with no stated manufacturer warranty are sold as-is after the 7-day return window.
13. Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve all issues promptly and fairly. If you have a problem with your order:
- Step 1 — Contact Sales: Email [email protected] with a description of the issue and your order number. We respond within 3 business days.
- Step 2 — Escalation: If the issue is not resolved within 14 days, you may escalate by written notice to [email protected]. Tecmocsy will conduct a senior review and respond within 7 days.
- Step 3 — Mediation or Courts: Disputes that cannot be resolved through correspondence will proceed to voluntary mediation or the courts of Tanzania as set out in Section 17.
Payment disputes (chargebacks): Buyers are required to contact Tecmocsy directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or card issuer. We ask that you allow us reasonable time to resolve the matter first. Fraudulent or premature chargeback filings may result in account suspension and the recovery of any associated costs.
14. Intellectual Property
The Tecmocsy platform, logo, "Tecmocsy" service mark, software, and all associated content are the property of Tecmocsy Company Limited. No part of the platform may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form without prior written permission from Tecmocsy Company Limited. Product images, descriptions, and specifications supplied by manufacturers remain the property of their respective owners and are used under licence.
15. Events Outside Our Control
Sometimes things happen that are completely outside Tecmocsy's control — situations that no amount of effort on our part can prevent. When that happens, we cannot be held responsible for delays or for not being able to deliver your order.
Examples of such events:
- Floods, earthquakes, severe storms, or other natural disasters
- Disease outbreaks or government orders that shut down trade or transport
- Government-imposed port or border closures, trade bans, or sanctions
- Large-scale strikes or civil unrest
- Power grid or internet infrastructure failures
If one of these situations affects your order, we will let you know as soon as we can and give you options — including a full refund if we are not able to deliver within a reasonable time.
16. Limitation of Liability
Tecmocsy's total liability for any claim arising out of a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to that claim. Tecmocsy's aggregate liability for all other claims is limited to amounts paid to Tecmocsy in the 90 days preceding the claim. In no event will Tecmocsy be liable for lost profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, or any consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
18. Modifications
Material changes will be communicated by email and in-platform notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version of these Terms is always available at tecmocsy.com/terms-of-service/.
